Tasting note

A delicate and fruity scent with hints of apricot, quince and baked apples. The taste is sweet, long and creamy, and which emphasises the fruity element.

Serving

(10°C) : Can be served for cocktails, with foie gras, blue cheeses, ice cream or tangy pies.

Ageing

From 5 years to a decade to acquire a fine vintage.

Description

Smooth and harmonious

  • Type of wine : White mellow family from the Coteaux du Layon Villages.
  • Grape Variety : 100% Chenin
  • Soil type : Clay and shale.
  • Wine making : Born from overripe grapes, and successive sorting 3 to 4 times between the period of 10th October to 10th November.  Each selection is processed separately so that it develops its own characteristics and then is blended together before conditioning.
  • Taste : straw yellow colour to a golden yellow.
